Community Partnerships
Since 2006, Sherpani Partners and The WIT Foundation, the philanthropic
arm of Women in Technology, have teamed up to host several career
exploration workshops for middle and high school girls through the
Girls Get IT
(or GGIT) program. GGIT is an outreach program of The WIT Foundation.
The WIT Foundation plays a critical role in funding these programs that are already making a difference. The girls see and hear about exciting new possibilities in technology from strong, successful female role models. Sherpani Partners assists with the design and development of the programs and conducts the career exploration workshops with many enthusiastic volunteers from WIT.
One of the programs is a week-long summer Career Exploration Workshop. Middle school girls from Cool Girls, Inc. participated in 2008 and job shadowed strong women role models at Auto Trader, an active sponsor of WIT and the WIT Foundation.
The WIT membership represents an extraordinary group of women, and we appreciate the opportunity to share our passion of encouraging and supporting young girls as they consider careers in technology. We are looking forward to additional workshops that are on the calendar.
