Sherpani is a Nepalese term for a female Sherpa, descendant of the Tibetan people known as the expert guides of Himalaya Mountains. With over 20 years of Human Resources and Organizational Development experience with Fortune 500 companies, co-founders Sandra Schumann and Susan Solomon offer their unique perspectives and expertise to guide young people and adults who are grappling to understand the realities of the world of work.
Sandra Schumann has years of Human Resources - Leadership Development experience in guiding individuals and organizations through change. The scope of her background includes assessing talent, recruiting and retaining key contributors, developing high potential candidates in critical roles, enhancing employee relations, coaching, training and fostering workplace ethics. She counseled with and coached executives and individuals in sales, customer service, finance, legal, supply chain and technology.
Sandra has a B.A. in Education from the University of Arizona and a M.Ed.- Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia.
Susan Solomon brings years of Human Resources management experience in such areas as employment, training, organizational development, and employee relations. She created and managed a college recruiting program, visiting 20 of the top engineering and business schools in the country.
She has also been an outplacement and career consultant for more than 12 years through her own firm, The Solomon Group. In her corporate and outplacement roles, she coached employees at all levels and in many industries including technology, manufacturing, banking, research and development, textiles, industrial products, education and healthcare.
Susan has a B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University and an M.B.A. from Emory University.
